The post holder is responsible for the administration management of the Salford Referral and Assessment Hub, single point of access. You will be responsible for the smooth implementation of administrate processes. The post holder will have line management responsibility for the Team Administrators within the team.
Duties will include minuting of meetings, typing of medical and other correspondence, actioning any requirements identified, along with coordinating clinical activities.
Main duties of the job
Manage and support the administration team offering guidance and training where needed.
Undertake audio/clerical duties for your consultants, including minute taking, clinical letters, reports, discharge correspondence and clinical activity data inputting.
Provide first point of contact for written and telephone enquiries on behalf of your consultants, using judgement to establish validity and priority of the contact.
Monitor patient wait times and action according to waiting times standard.
Monitor and progress patient pathways.
To line manage the Team Administrators within the team, ensuring all Trust Policies and Procedures regarding HR are adhered to.
Plan and organise appointments in both the clinical diary systems and outlook diary systems and arrange travel / accommodation on behalf of your consultants when required.
Arrange visits and meetings as required using judgement and experience to act in emergency cases.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
To provide comprehensive administrative support and to manage and co-ordinate the administrative and ancillary support function, ensuring the most efficient and effective use of resources.
The post holder will have line management responsibility for the administration, clerical and support staff, and will be responsible for the coordination of the validation of all reports coming into the service in regards to data quality and data completeness. The post holder will be responsible for the assurance of meeting all local and national targets, flagging up any issues that may come to light.
You will be a well organised and experienced secretary with knowledge of medical terminology. You will ensure all consultants and clinicians within your role are organised and equipped to fulfil their responsibilities. To provide a full and comprehensive PA role for multiple consultants and staff within the Living Well Services.
The role will require travelling between Living Well bases within Salford supporting your staff.
