Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) Location: Chandler’s Ford Salary: £13.68 to £14.88 per hour (Depending on experience) Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time GSL Education are seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Chandler’s Ford. This role offers a valuable opportunity to support students with a variety of special educational needs, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and develop essential life skills. What You Will Do as SEN TA: Provide focused support to children with SEN during lessons and other school activities. Assist teachers in adapting learning materials and lesson plans to meet individual student needs. Support children with social, emotional, and behavioural needs to engage positively in their learning. Create and maintain a calm, positive, and inclusive classroom environment. Monitor and record student progress and behaviour, sharing observations with teaching staff. What We Are Looking For: Experience working as a Special Education Needs TA in schools or similar settings is preferred. Understanding of various SEN conditions such as ASD, ADHD, SLCN, SEMH, and learning difficulties. Ability to follow and support the delivery of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour support plans. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
