Overview

Caridon Property are a fast growing, award winning property letting and management firm based in Croydon, South London. We own and manage more than 2000 properties across London and the South East and are looking for enthusiastic hard working individuals to join our team who have a hunger to succeed.

Role: Assistant Accountant

Reports to: Group Financial Controller

Hours: Full time - 37.5 hours. Monday to Friday

Location: Head Office in Croydon

Salary: £26,000 per annum


Responsibilities

* To be responsible with your time keeping at all times.
* Collaborate with Financial Managers and other team members to successfully execute various accounting tasks including but not limited to bookkeeping, postings etc.
* Maintain company ledgers and daily financial transactions.
* Create financial documents such as bills, invoices, payables, receivables and purchase orders where needed.
* Identify discrepancies in ledgers and accounts, tracking them to the source and correcting them.
* Coordinate and manage payment and billing details of external service providers, contractors and vendors.
* Verify payments and deposits made through the company account.
* Monthly reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts
* Month end journals including payroll, accruals, prepayments, depreciation, etc.


Qualifications

* BSc in Accounting and Finance /AAT required.
* Minimum three year experience as Accounts Assistant.
* Experience in accounting for social housing and property management is essential
* Experience in Xero essential
* Intermediate level Excel ability
* Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads under pressure
* Willingness to learn and develop
