Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust is a major provider of integrated hospital and community services for people living in Buckinghamshire and the surrounding area, including Thame (Oxfordshire), Tring (Hertfordshire), and Leighton Buzzard (Bedfordshire). We care for over half a million patients annually, supported by over 6,000 highly trained clinical staff, including doctors, nurses, midwives, health visitors, therapists, and healthcare scientists.
We are seeking enthusiastic and caring individuals with excellent communication skills to join our team as Healthcare Assistants on the Elective Surgical Ward.
Key requirements include a good standard of English and numeracy skills, along with a passion for caring for older people. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to complete a numeracy and literacy competency test. Successful candidates will then be interviewed. This process helps us determine whether we are the right employer for you and vice versa.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Assisting registered nurses in delivering high-quality, person-centered care.
2. Providing fundamental nursing care, such as assistance with personal hygiene, eating and drinking, mobility, and washing, under supervision.
3. Carrying out limited clinical observations and other activities under supervision, once deemed competent.
4. Maintaining high clinical standards and a clean, safe ward environment.
5. Contributing to a safe and caring environment within the department and organization.
6. Working anywhere within the Trust as required.
