Join to apply for the Pharmacy Assistant/Modern Apprentice role at NHS Scotland.
This is a full-time permanent post of 37 hours per week, based on service requirements, to be worked with the Pharmacy team at Caithness General Hospital in Wick. This is a Modern Apprenticeship leading to a healthcare career as a Pharmacy Support Worker, where you will study, train and work as part of the Pharmacy team.
You will have the opportunity to work closely with pharmacy technicians and pharmacists.
Responsibilities
You will work within the Pharmacy team and participate in a structured training programme toward achieving the SVQ Pharmacy Services qualification at SCQF Level 6 to meet General Pharmaceutical Council minimum training requirements for the role. You will be required to work through the programme and contribute to the team as part of daily service delivery. You may be requested to participate in departmental rotas for late opening and public holidays in accordance with service requirements.
Qualifications and requirements
* Applicants must have achieved 3 National 4 qualifications (or SCQF equivalent), which must include English, Maths and a Science subject as a minimum.
* Enthusiastic with strong interpersonal and organisational abilities, good communication skills and a strong team work ethic. Demonstrated ability in written communication, hard work, attention to detail, flexibility and commitment to completing the training programme.
* You will need to be flexible in your approach and committed to completing the training programme.
* You must be able to meet the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support workers in Scotland and to comply with the code of conduct throughout employment.
Eligibility and visa information
This role does not meet the eligibility criteria for a Skilled Worker visa or a Health and Care Worker visa. NHS Highland is unable to provide a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS).
