About the role…
Our Group Finance Manager will play a key role in assisting with our Group reporting and will drive financial controls across the business area. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled technical accountant who will gain broad exposure to group finances in a fast-paced growing business. This is a full-time, permanent role based from our office in Chorley.
As a Group Finance Manager you will…
* Support the GFC with driving the financial controls across the Group; with the view of standardising and developing group-wide processes and reporting
* Responsible for the Ipsum Utilities monthly results, budget, and forecast – including working with cost centre managers
* Prepare a number of accounting policies and produce a central repository for all policies
* Support the GFC with the management of loan facilities and required reporting
* Become the in-house expert on tax matters such as VAT, employment taxes, CIS, and DRC
* Create a consolidated balance sheet reporting model to enable easier review of key items
* Develop the group function to allow key tasks to be centralised (e.g., Fixed assets and PAYE)
* Assist with finance restructuring exercises within the group, including acquisitions and fair value accounting
* Provide technical advice to members of the finance function
* Mentor junior staff members on accountancy best practices
* Assist with treasury roles within the Group team, including payment approvals, credit cards, and expense reviews
* Support the Group FC with all HMRC and Companies House filings
About you…
