About the Role We are currently recruiting for a Field Service Engineer (FSE) to be based in the region of the M62 Corridor. The role is responsible for the installation, service and maintenance of our state-of-the-art surgical robotic system in hospital locations. Working closely with commercial colleagues, the role is key in ensuring maxi-mum system up-time and enabling surgical teams to get the best clinical value from the Versius system. It will be responsible for ensuring service agreements and warranty obligations are fulfilled within set timeframes. As a field-based role, travel is expected most days. While hospital accounts are prioritised to the closest FSE, it is expected that country wide travel will be required in support of the wider UK team. On occasion and in response to business-critical need, supporting work in our head office, manufacturing location, or outside of the UK could be expected. We are looking for a skilled and motivated individual who has a passion for delivering excellent customer experience. Someone who takes ownership, action and works closely with colleagues to achieve company goals. Responsibilities Support the Installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of the Versius Robot install base within the UK. Owning customer issues from identification to resolution while maintaining excellent customer experience. Ensuring preventative maintenance actions are carried out precisely, on time and all service works are accurately and compliantly documented. Maintaining accurate customer service records, internal service records and accurate configurations of the installed base. In line with company guidelines, managing spare parts inventory, from ordering to managing the reverse logistic of spare parts and calibration tools within the area of responsibility. Providing technical support to end-users and internal commercial CMR teams. Developing and maintaining a close working relationship with commercial colleagues to report all complaints and feedback in alignment with post-market surveillance and continuous product improvement processes. On-site surgery support of new accounts through first and landmark cases. Ensure all administrative tasks such as service orders, email, expenses, training are completed within defined timeframes. Undertake extensive product training and maintain skills as systems and processes evolve. Complete active role in quality processes such as NCR, CAPA, Concession as appropriate. You’ll be willing to turn your hand to anything within the Service and Support remit that supports the team with delivering its objectives. About You Knowledge and Skills required: To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have/be: Proven track record in independent troubleshooting and repair of complex electromechanical systems. Knowledge of electronics, electrical systems, and software, including performing software updates via engineering interfaces. An understanding of ESD measures, Electrical Safety, Medical Contamination risks, decontamination. Proficient in the use of tools such as DMMs and ES testers. Familiarity with operating theatre/OR protocols and medical device handling an advantage. A proactive, hands-on attitude with strong problem-solving skills. The ability to work with autonomy to deliver to deadlines. Ability to communicate clearly with both customers and internal teams under pressure, maintaining strong relationships. Flexibility to work in cross-functional environments and adapt to changing priorities. Consistent and resilient in providing structured feedback internally, actively contributing to product and process improvements. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with Field Service CRM tools such as ServiceMax. Ability to lift up to 20 kg and work in clinical environments, including operating theatres. Valid UK driver’s license and ability to travel between sites at short notice. Qualifications and Experience: We would like you to have: Bachelor’s degree, associate degree, or equivalent in engineering, electronics, biomedical engineering, or related discipline. Minimum 2 years of onsite/field service experience in a regulated environment (medical preferred). Experience servicing high-value capital equipment (e.g., imaging systems, surgical robotics, radiotherapy). Eligibility to permanently work within the United Kingdom. Why Join Us?
