As Edinburghâs principal transport provider, Lothian has been providing the city with a first-class public transport service for over a century. In more recent years they have expanded to provide the same great services within Midlothian, East Lothian and West Lothian.\nAs their Digital Operations Apprentice, you will provide support for the Operations and Service Delivery teams in their daily function of running an efficient and compliant bus service.\n\nReporting to the Operations Support Supervisor, you will be entrusted with a wide range and high volume of duties, which must be completed in a timely, efficiently and confidential manner. We want you to grow, succeed and become a permanent team member.\n â¢\tCompiling and issuing Daily Garage Reports to the appropriate mailing lists. Information from these reports will come from downloading driver tachographs on a daily basis via DAS (internal drivers system) and issue weekly tachograph compliance reports to garages.\nâ¢\tYou will become an expert key user in various systems such as TTC Contnuum (Fleet & Driver Management Software). You will check potential driversâ licenses on this software.\nâ¢\tUsing a back-end ticketing system, Flowbird, you will gather data to run reports to deliver to the relevant garages.\nâ¢\tOn the systems stated above, you will update driver details including new starters and leavers.\nâ¢\tLiaising with other garages via MS Outlook when sending reports and when issuing weekly drug and alcohol call lists. You will also liaise with internal IT department on Operational Support tickets that are submitted.\nâ¢\tManaging the distribution of policy and procedures to mailing lists and MyLothian (intranet) as and when required.\nâ¢\tManual collection of data from legacy systems that do not directly sync to Power BI reports.\nâ¢\tWorking with the Service Delivery Team to produce and update operational lists and tracking sheet and overseeing uniform supplies.\n What qualities should you have?\nâ¢\tExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nâ¢\tGood organisational skills and the ability to multi-task.\nâ¢\tResilience under pressure and shifting priorities.\nâ¢\tExcellent attention to detail.\nâ¢\tStrong customer service focus.\nâ¢\tAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nâ¢\tDiscretion and ability to maintain confidentiality.\nâ¢\tAssertive, can-do approach.\nâ¢\tAgile and positive attitude to change.\nâ¢\tStrong sense of integrity and accountability.\n\nImportant information:\nThis vocational apprenticeship comprehensively supports your specific job role with this particular employer.
