We are seeking to appoint a full‑time Teacher of Biology to join our Science Faculty. The successful applicant will have the exciting opportunity to become part of a dedicated and dynamic team, contributing to the future development of the Science Faculty, in a professional and supportive environment. She/he will join a lively faculty and should be able to teach Biology up to A2 and also have the ability to extend beyond the syllabus for Oxbridge candidates. We are looking for applicants who are able to combine an intellectually rigorous approach to the subject with an obvious passion for it and who have the ability to convey this interest especially to Sixth Formers. The post is suitable either for a relatively recent entrant to the profession or for a more experienced colleague for whom there may be additional subject‑based responsibilities.
Teaching staff are expected to be in school between 08:00 am to 16.00 but hours are as required to fulfil the duties of this role, both before and after school hours.
Ibstock operates a six‑month probationary period for teaching roles.
Job start date – 6 January 2026.
The contract will be full‑time, permanent.
Salary for this role will be competitive (depending on skills and years of experience).
