Client Finance Services is pleased to offer an exciting opportunity within the Client Financial Affairs Team (CFAT) for an Appointee Assistant.
CFAT provides an Appointeeship and Deputyship Service on behalf of the Executive Director of Adult Social Services, supporting service users who have been assessed under the Mental Capacity Act 2005 as being unable to manage their own financial affairs.
The role involves managing a caseload of Appointeeship work for clients living in residential care. Key responsibilities include:
1. Managing the day-to-day financial transactions for Appointee service users, including applying to the Department for Work and Pensions for entitled benefits
2. Distributing and monitoring personal allowance payments
3. Completing monthly reconciliations of client accounts
4. Accurately maintaining service user financial records
5. Liaising with service users, their families, and external service providers
6. Undertaking general administrative duties, including the allocation and processing of post
