You will lead an established 2-bed Ofsted-registered children’s home with a good Ofsted rating, supporting children with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). I am seeking someone who currently is a Deputy looking for their first management role.
Roles and responsibilities
The Home Manager will play a vital role in shaping the culture and success of the home.
Responsibilities will include:
* Leading rota management and staff supervision.
* Supporting the development and wellbeing of your team.
* Overseeing care plans and striving for the best possible outcomes for each young person.
* Embedding the9 Quality Standards into everyday practice.
* Applying your knowledge of the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015.
* Building strong relationships with external agencies and advocating effectively when needed.
* Celebrating achievements for the children and the team.
* Managing the home’s budget and spending responsibly.
* Handling administrative duties and report writing with confidence.
* Leading safeguarding practices in line with company policies and regulatory expectations.
To be considered for this role you will need:
* At least 2 years’ experience in a deputy manager role relevant to residential childcare
* Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage the home effectively while delivering high-quality care.
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or be working towards.
