Assistant Manager, Indian Restaurant – UK visa sponsorship
We are looking for an experienced and driven Assistant Restaurant Manager to assist with the day-to-day operations of our Indian restaurant. The chosen applicant will collaborate closely with the restaurant manager to guarantee top‑notch customer service, strict standards for food quality, and efficient daily operations. In addition, the position involves overseeing restaurant operations in the manager’s absence, including holiday cover, monitoring employees, and assisting with business success.
Responsibilities
* Help the restaurant manager with day‑to‑day operations
* Collaborate closely with the restaurant manager and provide direct reports on staff performance, customer input, and operational issues
* Monitor floor and front‑of‑house employees during shifts
* Provide outstanding customer service and professionally address any customer issues
* Uphold strict food presentation, cleanliness, hygiene, and quality guidelines
* Recruit, train, schedule, and manage performance of support personnel
* Coordinate front‑of‑house and kitchen crews
* Assist in managing inventory levels, supplier orders, and stock control
* Verify adherence to food hygiene and health and safety laws
* Manage tills, cash, and end‑of‑day reporting processes
* Assist with delivery and takeaway operations when necessary
* Assume responsibility for running the establishment in the manager’s absence or vacation
* Ensure accurate opening and closing processes
* Encourage sales growth and assist in meeting operational goals
* Maintain an upbeat, professional, and team‑oriented workplace
