Job summary
Wantage Midwifery Led Unit, part of Wantage Community Hospital, offers a homely atmosphere with a birthing pool room for community births. The team comprises dedicated midwives and support workers providing antenatal, postnatal, and community care, including homebirths, midwifery-led units, and delivery suite support in Oxfordshire.
We seek enthusiastic midwives interested in community births. Flexible working patterns are available.

This role is not eligible for overseas sponsorship. Candidates must have an existing NMC registration with UK Midwifery experience or be due to qualify as a midwife from a UK institution within the next 6 months.
Main duties of the job
Full and part-time hours are available. Candidates must be drivers with access to a car during the day and for on-call duties.

Person Specification
Knowledge, skills, and competencies
* Registered Midwife with current UK registration and at least 6 months of UK midwifery experience.
* Student midwife due to register by December 2018.
* Positive, enthusiastic character.
* Self-aware and receptive to constructive criticism.
* Ability to prioritize workload.
* Team player.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Commitment to women-centered care.
* Ability to develop strategies and cope under pressure.
Physical attributes
* Good health record.
* Professional appearance in accordance with dress code.

Salary range: £37,338 to £44,962 per annum (pro-rata).
