As a Collection and Delivery Driver for DPD, you'll be the face of our company and play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction. Your responsibilities will include:* Serving as the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service when collecting or delivering parcels * Starting your shift at the depot, where you'll be responsible for efficiently loading parcels onto your 3.5 tonne van * Following a daily delivery schedule and managing your route effectively to ensure timely collections and deliveries * Safely operating and maintaining the 3.5 tonne van, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies * Accurately scanning and recording parcel information using handheld devices * Collecting signatures and other necessary proof of delivery from customers * Promptly reporting any delivery issues, vehicle problems, or customer concerns to your supervisor * Maintaining a clean and organised van, conducting daily vehicle checks, and reporting any maintenance needs * Adapting to changing weather conditions and adjusting your delivery approach accordingly * Collaborating with depot staff and other drivers to ensure smooth operations and efficient parcel sorting * Wearing the provided uniform and personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times while on duty * Demonstrating the core DPD DNA Values of: Honesty, Respect, Passion, Flexibility, Caring and Accountability This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
