THIS POST IS FIXED TERM FOR 7 MONTHS TO 31/03/26 DUE TO FUNDING.

Join our dynamic and supportive Screening Workforce Development Team as a Workbased Learning Practitioner and make a real difference in healthcare education. In this engaging role, you'll play a key part in delivering and assessing the Diploma in Health Screening and its specialist pathways across vital screening programmes. Main duties of the job

The post holder will:

* Work with the Screening Workforce Development Team (SWDT) to deliver and assess accredited supporting learning pathways in Public Health Wales (PHW) screening programmes to improve services and the organisation.
* They will support the delivery of the Healthcare Support Workers (HCSW) Clinical Induction, health screening diplomas, and support career development for HCSWs in all screening programmes.
* They will carry out administrative tasks to maintain and improve the quality of training and workforce development in the Screening Division.

Job responsibilities

Person Specification


Qualifications

* Educated to Level 4, preferably in a health and social care context, or equivalent knowledge and skills
* Current IT qualification (gained within the last 5 years) e.g. ECDL / ICDL, Information Technology, Computer Science.
* Vocational Assessment Qualification or Learning and Development e.g. CAVA / Diploma in Learning and Development


Experience

* Experience of managing own workload
* Experience of using Microsoft Office applications
* Previous experience as an assessor or mentor
* Previous experience of working in an NHS environment
* Experience working within a Screening Environment


Skills

* Using Microsoft Office suite of applications and managing or maintaining information systems.
* Ability to adapt skills to changing environment


Knowledge

* Knowledge of HCSW career framework
* Knowledge of vocational assessment process

Disclosure and Barring Service Check

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.

£26,928 to £29,551 a yearper annum (pro rata if part time)
