A leading technology programme is seeking an experienced Principal Hardware Engineer to design and develop hardware and firmware subsystems for advanced electronic systems. This role will be instrumental in shaping high-performance solutions for signal processing, communications, and control applications.
Working closely with a team of experts in a collaborative engineering environment, you'll contribute to the full lifecycle of hardware design - from specification through to integration, verification, and production support.
Key Responsibilities
Define specifications for Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and ADC/DAC systems.
Design and develop DSP and mixed-signal systems, including SoC, FPGA, and power conversion.
Integrate ADC/DAC components within broader digital processing architectures.
Support verification, debugging, and testing of complex PCBs and VPX-based hardware.
Engage in model-driven design using MATLAB/Simulink and Mentor design tools.
What We're Looking For
Strong background in mixed-signal design involving ADCs, DACs, FPGAs, and SoCs.
Experience in fast digital interfaces such as PCIe, Ethernet, and JESD204.
Proficiency in electronic design, verification, and qualification testing.
Experience with power electronics (AC/DC conversion), PCB design, and component engineering.
Familiarity with VPX system design and high-performance embedded architectures.
A methodical and structured approach to electronic hardware development.
Competence in electronics lab testing tools and techniques.
