What you’ll do:
* Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to support business profitability and expansion.
* Management Reporting: Provide accurate and insightful reports to facilitate key decision-making processes.
* Journal Preparation: Prepare month-end and year-end journals with precision and efficiency.
* Management Accounts: Generate detailed Management Accounts to assist in strategic planning and execution.
* Budgeting: Contribute to the annual budgeting and planning process, aligning with the business goals.
* Capital Expenditure Management: Oversee capital expenditure to optimise resources.
* Financial Statements: Produce comprehensive financial statements, including P&L accounts, cash flows, variance analysis, and insightful commentaries.
* Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
* Team Leadership: Guide and motivate the wider team to achieve excellence in financial operations.
* Customs Compliance: Take ownership of customs bonded warehouse compliance with HMRC regulations.
* Process Improvement: Review accounting processes and practices, identifying areas for improvement to enhance efficiency.
Skills & Knowledge Specification:
* Minimum of 3 years experience in a related finance role.
* CIMA or AAT Level 4 Qualified
* Strong proficiency in Excel and good data reporting experience
* Commitment to meeting deadlines with accurate information.
* Great attention to detail and a solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles.
* Familiarity with accounting software systems, with experience using Xero being advantageous.
* Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
