Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor / Energy Estimator
Location: London (Hybrid - 3 days in office, site visits, and some home working)
Salary: Up to £80,000 + Package
My client is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Energy Estimator to join their Infrastructure Team in London. This is an exciting opportunity to work on large-scale energy infrastructure projects across the UK, including substations, overhead power lines, onshore and offshore wind farms, solar farms, and AC/DC converters.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide comprehensive cost management and estimation services for major energy infrastructure projects.
* Prepare detailed cost estimates and budget forecasts throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project goals.
* Lead commercial negotiations with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
* Manage cost reporting, risk analysis, and value engineering exercises to ensure project efficiency and financial control.
* Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
* Attend site visits to monitor progress, assess variations, and ensure financial accuracy.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Energy Estimator within the energy sector.
* Experience working with a developer, consultancy, or contractor on projects such as wind farms, solar farms, power substations, or power line infrastructure.
* Strong understanding of cost management principles and estimating practices specific to energy infrastructure projects.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a keen eye for detail.
* Ability to travel to project sites across the UK as required.
