About the Role
We're seeking a dedicated Support Worker to provide person-centred care across two rewarding roles in different areas, supporting two wonderful individuals to live fulfilling lives. This combined position offers a total of 21.75 hours per week, with a fixed Friday shift in the Braintree CM77 area and flexible scheduling for the remaining hours to suit the needs of the second client. You'll need to be comfortable traveling between locations and combining these responsibilities.
Braintree Role (Fridays, 07:30–16:30):
You'll support a young lady during daytime hours, helping her thrive at home and in the community. Key responsibilities include:
* Accompanying her to day services, activities, and outings.
* Supporting her hobbies like music, YouTube, photography, and cinema trips.
* Assisting with routines and daily living tasks in a structured and caring environment.
Flexible Role (Remaining ~12.75 hours, adaptable schedule):
You'll provide care and companionship to a vibrant lady with cerebral palsy in her own home. She's a wheelchair user who needs support with mobility and some personal care, but she's incredibly friendly, sociable, and loves engaging with life. Duties include:
* Assisting with personal care, mobility, and day-to-day tasks like meal preparation and household activities.
* Providing companionship and emotional support.
* Helping with self-care routines, including makeup and skincare.
* Supporting her in attending favourite activities, such as K-pop concerts, pantomimes, theatre productions, and other outings.
* Encouraging her independence and passions.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
* Warm, patient, caring, and enthusiastic about supporting others.
* Reliable, flexible, and able to build strong rapport while working in partnership with clients.
* Comfortable driving clients to services, outings, and events – a full UK licence, own car, and business insurance (or willingness to obtain it) are essential.
* Experienced in care or supporting individuals with complex needs (like cerebral palsy) is helpful but not required – full training is provided.
* Happy to combine these two roles in different areas for a varied and impactful week.
