Job Responsibilities
* Report daily to the Lead Academy Physiotherapist and contribute to the formal monthly departmental meetings and informal weekly meetings.
* Plan and lead the implementation of rehabilitation for all U18 players.
* Collaborate with the Lead Academy Physiotherapist in planning and implementing rehabilitation for the Youth Development Phase and Foundation Phase Players.
* Plan and execute individual and group testing/screening sessions for all U18 players.
* Lead injury prevention strategies for all U18 players.
* Work with the U18 head coach and Academy Sports Scientist on training load planning.
* Coordinate with the Head of Sports Science and Medicine and other club Sport Science staff to deliver specific physical development training sessions for U18 players.
* Liaise with the club Nutritionist to plan and implement the academy's nutritional strategy for all U18 players.
* Collaborate with the club Psychologist on planning and implementing the academy's psychology strategy for all U18 players.
* Contribute to weekly Continuing Professional Development (CPD) within the Academy Sports Science & Medicine department.
* Lead the match-day Physiotherapy provision for the U18 squad and support the Lead Academy Physiotherapist during training sessions and weekend fixtures.
About The Candidate
* BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy
* HCPC Registration
* Full member of the CSP
* Valid ATMiFF (or willingness to undertake ATMiFF promptly)
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Strong organizational skills and data management ability
* Flexibility to adapt working hours to meet role demands
* Full UK driving license
* Previous MSK experience, preferably in a sporting environment
* Desirable
* Experience with EPPP and PMA data input
* Experience working with youth elite athletic development
* Experience within a professional football environment
