Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Imaging Department in Walsall to cover the role of a Radiology Service Manager.
The post holder will be responsible for the operational management, leadership and coordination of the daily activities and planning of Radiology services to ensure the delivery of a high-quality responsive service which meets the needs of the Trust and the Community.
Walsall is a large market town located in the Black Country and within easy reach of Birmingham and rural Staffordshire.

Responsibilities
Responsible for the operational management, leadership and coordination of daily activities and planning of Radiology services, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality responsive service that meets the needs of the Trust and the Community; accountable to the Divisional Director. Responsible for the budget and physical resources within Imaging while responding to unpredictable workloads and patterns. Promotes Trust values and ensures adherence to all policies and procedures. Oversees IR(ME)R and IRR regulations, ensuring radiation is used safely to protect patients from the risk of harm when being exposed to ionising radiation. Responsible for overseeing Radiation Safety Policies and procedures within the organisation and chairs the relevant radiation safety groups to ensure robust governance and assurance to Trust Board. Ensures clinical governance for a safe and effective service for patients and staff, delivers service performance indicators and national targets, and works with AHP leads to raise the profile of AHPs across the Trust, driving service improvements.
Technical Expertise
Provide expertise and advice on all imaging modalities, with an up-to-date knowledge of all types of imaging equipment.
