Salary: £50,000 - £60,000
Contract type: Permanent
Working hours: Full time
Location: Bristol area. The post will be based at the employer’s headquarters in Bristol (BS1 5) with the option to work a few days a week from home. Some regional travel will be expected.
Occasional evening and weekend work as necessary (TOIL awarded).

Our client is the largest local charity working to protect wildlife in the West of England area. They are one of 46 regional Charitable trusts Trusts and the correpsonding Royal Society thereof. Together, They are the biggest organisation in the UK working solely for nature.
Today, this organisation employs over 50 staff and works alongside over 800 volunteers, supported by over 18,000 members. They work to bring wildlife back by managing and restoring habitats and inspiring people to take action for wildlife.
About the Role
They are looking for an exceptional individual to become their new Director of Finance and Operations. You will be a finance leader with broad commercial acumen, strong people management skills and the appetite to drive and hold accountability for the charity’s membership and income growth ambitions.
They have exciting plans to create and restore habitats, enable people to take action for wildlife, and secure more land for nature for wildlife across the West of England.
As Director of Finance and operations, you will be at the heart of the organisation’s success.
You will:
* Lead the Group’s financial planning, operations and accounting
* Ensure effective management of the organisation’s people and resources
* Drive development of the charity’s fundraising and commercial activities
* Work with the CEO and Leadership Team to develop, implement and periodically review the organisation’s strategic and financial plans
* Work closely with all Departments to ensure effective financial and operational processes, support financial planning and inform future decisions.
