Our business was built by passionate and committed people and now moveero Ltd, based in Telford, are looking to recruit a HSE Manager to join their team in a fast paced, primarily off‑highway wheel and automotive manufacturing environment.


Role Purpose

The Health, Safety and Environmental Manager will ensure the company complies with all applicable health, safety and environmental legislation. Maintain certification to ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015. The incumbent will be a member of the Senior Management Team and will provide guidance to plant leadership and employees to implement and support a healthy, safe, and sustainable business. The incumbent will be the sites environmental, social and governance (ESG) lead.


Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

* Provide guidance to plant leadership on health, safety and environmental legislative changes and subsequent implications, updating the HSE management system where necessary.
* Support operational managers and staff in achieving a safe working environment, considering moveero Ltd and autostructures UK Ltd procedures and current legislation.
* Maintain certification to ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015.
* Maintain compliance to applicable local authority permitting requirements.
* Apply for environmental permits and liaise with regulators as required.
* Track and interpret emerging environmental regulations, providing guidance to Senior Management Team.
* Analyse environmental data and contribute to internal reports and meetings.
* Prepare and maintain key documentation and records for on‑site environmental performance and ESG internal and external reporting.
* Updated the sites HSE legal registers.
* Report on all monthly HSE performance KPI’s and ensure reporting is completed on time in line with site requirements.
* Assist and advise the business on meeting HSE objectives.
* Focus on further developing and improving behavioral safety to create a culture change in operational and leadership levels within the site.
* Provide HSE support on projects across the facility.
* Ensure completion of all HSE business risk assessments and develop risk reduction programs as necessary; ensuring appropriate follow up action is taken.
* Liaise with external authorities as required, Emergency Services, Local Authorities, Health and Safety Executive, Environmental Agency.
* Manage auditing of the sites HSE systems and processes.
* Investigate and report on all HSE incidents on site and evaluate accident statistics and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
* Identify knowledge gaps and ensure provision of health, safety, and environmental training to employees, including induction for new employees and continued training for all employees.
* Assess and manage site key HSE related risks with the long‑term objective to eliminate hazards.
* Chair HSE committee meetings, ensuring actions raised are effectively managed.
* Build a positive working relationship with site Union H&S Representatives.
* Construct and deliver high‑quality reports in relation to accidents and incidents (as required).
* Develop and implement environmental risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
* Be responsible in planning, supporting the development of, and implementing robust HSE practices across sites.
* Carry out and manage the health, safety and environmental processes, including risk assessments, method statements, internal schedules and induction training.
* Support sustainability and environmental performance initiatives aligned with business objectives. Management of the sites HSE reporting platform (EcoOnline) ensuring all modules are effectively managed.
* Manage the HSE budget.
* Point of contact for the processing of all accident‑related claims.


Qualifications and Skills

* Experienced senior Health, Safety and Environmental Manager with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in heavy engineering/factory environment.
* NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
* Level 3 BTEC Award in Education and Training.
* Proven project management and decision‑making ability.
* Proven ability to positively influence others.
* Ability to motivate and achieve at all levels within the organisation, to drive positive cultural change.
* Ability to effectively lead, influence and challenge effectively to a variety of stakeholders, to educate and deliver on the businesses HSE agenda.
* Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and direct site leadership team.
* Strong IT, oral and written communication, and project management skills; using a full suite of IT platforms.
* Proactive, solution‑focused mindset and ability to work independently with a hands‑on approach.
* Member of IOSH.


Desirable or be willing to work towards (training available where necessary)

* NEBOSH Construction or NEBOSH Fire (to be agreed).
* Member of IOSH; minimum TechIOSH working towards Certified (CertIOSH).
* Site HSE management.
* Leading a team.
* ISO 14001 and ISO45001.
* ESG lead.
* Auditing.
* Knowledge of safety programmes.
* Managing environmental permits.
* Project management.
* Training.
* Working with external agencies such as HSE, Environmental Agency and Local Authorities.


Hours of Work

37 hours per week Monday to Friday.


Closing date of Vacancy

midnight 7th April 2026


185 hours annual leave

(plus bank holidays)
