Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of our organisation. This position requires proficiency in various accounting software and a strong understanding of accounts payable processes. The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with data entry, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
Duties
* Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice processing and payment scheduling.
* Perform data entry tasks to maintain accurate financial records across multiple accounting platforms such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and PeopleSoft.
* Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements as required.
* Collaborate with the finance team to ensure timely and accurate month-end closing activities.
* Maintain organised documentation for all financial transactions to support audits and compliance checks.
* Utilise Workday and other accounting software to streamline financial operations and improve efficiency.
* Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding accounts payable and other financial matters.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a similar role within the financial services sector is preferred.
* Proficiency in accounting software, including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, and Workday is highly desirable.
* Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while meeting deadlines.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* A solid understanding of accounts payable processes and general accounting principles.
