Business Development Specialist | 22.5 Hours per week | Permanent |

As the Business Development Specialist, you will focus on increasing referrals from GPs, Allied Health Professionals (such as Physiotherapists and Osteopaths), and commissioning groups by positioning Spire Healthcare as the first choice for patient referrals.

You will lead and deliver a comprehensive engagement programme, build influential relationships, and identify new business opportunities to support our strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities
1. Plan and deliver a Primary Care engagement programme targeting GP practices, allied health professionals, and key stakeholders.
2. Manage your own schedule, activity, and workload to achieve monthly targets within the Primary Care contact programme.
3. Develop and deliver a Primary Care education programme, including clinical workshops, surgery seminars, and education for GP trainees and patient groups.
4. Partner with central teams to plan and execute marketing campaigns, events, and communications.
5. Work closely with the Self-Pay Sales team on patient awareness events where required.
6. Conduct lead generation and meet (virtually and face‑to‑face) with GPs, Practice Managers, CCGs, occupational health professionals, and other referrers.
7. Act as the Primary Care subject matter expert, resolving communication or administrative issues that could impact referrer relationships.
8. Maintain an accurate Primary Care contact database and update CRM systems with all activity, opportunities, and sales data.
9. Monitor GP referral data quarterly to evaluate success and identify new opportunities.
10. Build strong knowledge of the Hub’s services and consultants to confidently promote our offering.
11. Represent Spire Healthcare as an ambassador, promoting our values, professionalism and patient‑centred approach.
12. Support other business development activities as required and maintain a flexible approach, including some evening and weekend work.
13. Travel regularly across the Hub catchment area, with occasional travel to Spire’s London Head Office and other Spire sites.
Skills & Experience

Essential:

14. Face‑to‑face field sales experience within a corporate or healthcare environment
15. Proven success in customer relationship management with evidence of achieving results
16. Excellent communication and presentation skills
