We are seeking a passionate and creative Florist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for design, a love for flowers and plants, and excellent communication skills. This role involves creating beautiful floral arrangements for various occasions, maintaining the shop's visual merchandising, and providing exceptional customer service. The successful applicant will contribute to our reputation for quality and innovation in floral design, ensuring every customer leaves satisfied with their bespoke arrangement.
Duties
* Designing and creating floral arrangements for events, occasions, and retail displays in accordance with customer specifications and seasonal themes.
* Assisting customers with selecting flowers and plants, offering expert advice on care and maintenance.
* Organising stock levels, including ordering flowers, foliage, and related materials to ensure availability of high-quality products.
* Maintaining the organisation and cleanliness of the shop floor, workstations, and storage areas to uphold health and safety standards.
* Managing visual merchandising displays to attract customers and promote featured products effectively.
* Providing excellent customer service by engaging with clients understanding their needs, and offering personalised solutions.
* Keeping abreast of current floral trends, to enhance the quality of arrangements.
* Assisting with plant care, and horticultural activities as required.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in floral design or a related role is advantageous but not essential; training can be provided for the right candidate.
* Excellent English language communication skills are highly desirable to serve clientele effectively.
* Strong organisational skills to manage stock levels, appointments, and daily tasks efficiently.
* Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with customers and team members.
* Knowledge of flower and plant care is beneficial for maintaining healthy displays.
* A creative eye for colour coordination, arrangement balance, and visual presentation.
