At Gregory Distribution, we have a vacancy for a Parts Advisor based at our Cullompton Depot. This position will involve working with 5 Gregory workshops across England and Wales.
The position of Parts Advisor involves:
* Liaising with the Workshop team on ordering of parts required, checking any orders from the night shift technicians.
* Managing the smooth delivery of parts and promptly notifying the workshop team upon their arrival.
* Receipting the stock on Freeway.
* Maintaining stock levels within the stock room and undertaking weekly stocktakes.
* Conducting daily checks to ensure timely part arrivals and proactively liaising with suppliers for any delays.
* Analysis of fast and slow moving stock, to discuss with Head of Fleet Maintenance.
* On occasion, you may be required to collect emergency parts. This will involve using the workshop van.
* Ensure the parts department is compliant with Health and Safety requirements.
Essential skills required for Parts Advisor:
* Experience of dealing with suppliers and customers.
* Basic understanding of mechanical components, either car or HGV.
* Knowledge of Freeway system would be desirable.
* Previous experience of database management.
* Excellent organisational skills and prioritising workload.
* Ability to communicate at all levels.
* MS packages to include, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
