Join a growing, close-knit team that uses STEM to teach children confidence, resilience, and real problem-solving skills.

* Contract: Part-time, with opportunity to move to full-time
* Hours: Flexible (term-time with holiday workshops)
* Start date: As soon as available

Our Culture & Values

STEM for Kids is a growing team of around 15 passionate educators and coordinators who believe STEM is a powerful way to teach children problem-solving, resilience, confidence, and teamwork. We care as much about how children think as what they build. We support one another, take pride in our work, and create an environment where curiosity, effort, and perseverance are celebrated.

Why You’ll Enjoy Working With Us

This role suits someone who enjoys being part of a close-knit, purpose-driven team. You’ll see the direct impact of your work every week — children growing in confidence, instructors feeling supported, and parents trusting the environment we’ve created. If you value meaningful work, teamwork, and helping young people develop life skills through STEM, you’ll feel at home here.

We are seeking an organised and proactive Assistant Centre Manager to support the planning, delivery, and smooth running of our robotics and coding programmes for children aged 5–14.

Key Responsibilities

* Support preparation and smooth running of robotics and coding sessions
* Allocate instructors to sessions and manage weekly shift rotas
* Assign lesson plans to instructors and ensure they are fully briefed
* Ensure feedback is captured for every child after each session
* Maintain accurate attendance and feedback records
* Act as a key point of contact for parents and respond to queries professionally

Person Specification

* A degree in a STEM subject or currently studying towards a STEM degree
* Experience working with children
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Calm, reliable, and confident in a busy environment
* No prior robotics or coding experience is required. All training will be provided.
* Ability to travel between local venues when required (driving licence and access to a car preferred but not essential)

Progression: Opportunity to transition into a full-time role as the centre continues to grow.

Safeguarding

Enhanced DBS required (or willingness to obtain). Full training will be provided.
