We have an exciting opportunity to join our kitchen team at The Fish Shop Restaurant and Fishmongers as a Commis Chef, working closely with our Executive Chef, Marcus Sherry, and team.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a strong passion for excellent food and a desire to develop your cooking skills. You will learn and gain experience in each section of our kitchen.
As a Commis Chef, you will be responsible for:
* Preparing the mis-en-place for your assigned section according to a provided list.
* Ensuring the quality of food preparation is of an exceptional standard.
* Ensuring effective communication within the team.
* Assisting in other sections or helping with other duties when required.
* Maintaining cleanliness, organisation, and standards of your section.
Our successful Commis Chef will have:
* A true passion for food.
* Enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
* Good kitchen and knife skills.
* A good understanding of health & safety and food safety guidelines within the kitchen.
* A willingness to work to high standards.
* Innovation, creativity, and attention to detail.
