Jark Stevenage are urgently recruiting for an CURTAIN WALL FIXER & DIXERS MATE for a 4 week contract in Bridgend Wales (with chance to move to the next site) Hours; 07.30 to 17.00 Curtain Wall Fixer Installation: Assembles and installs stick or unitized curtain wall systems, which includes fixing vertical mullions and horizontal transoms. Glazing: Installs glass units, fire-rated glass, and seals panels. Site Work: Installs copings, flashings, and fixes dead load or wind load anchors to the building structure. Precision: Reads drawings to ensure the curtain wall is installed accurately and to specification. Requirements - CSCS BLUE CARD/CSCS GREEN CARD Fixer’s Mate Assistance: Helps the lead fixer with lifting, maneuvering, and installing heavy glazing or metal frames. Preparation: Prepares the work area, cleans materials, and prepares joints for sealing. Tool Handling: Maintains and hands tools to the fixer, often providing their own tools. Support: Works under supervision to move materials, operate machinery, and support installation teams (often holding a CSCS green card). They frequently work together as a team to ensure the building envelope is weather-tight and structurally secure.
