We’re looking for a passionate and ambitious Senior Sous Chef to join our vibrant catering team at one of our thriving Conference & Events venues in Warwick. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced chef ready to take the next step in their career within a professional, fresh food‑led contract catering environment.
Responsibilities
* Support the Chef Manager and Head Chef in the smooth running of the kitchen operation across all food services.
* Lead and motivate a brigade of chefs, ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation and service at all times.
* Take responsibility for managing and running breakfast, lunch, dinner, hospitality and event catering services.
* Oversee the preparation, cooking and presentation of fresh food using high‑quality seasonal ingredients.
* Deliver innovative and diverse menus inspired by cuisines from around the world.
* Assist with private dining events, conferences, formal dinners, outdoor catering, BBQs, hog roasts and pizza events.
* Support high‑volume food production while maintaining consistency, creativity and portion control.
* Work closely with front‑of‑house teams to ensure a seamless and exceptional customer experience.
* Maintain excellent standards of food safety, allergen management, hygiene and health & safety compliance.
* Support budgeting, ordering, stock control, stock rotation and minimising food waste.
* Assist with menu development, weekly specials and seasonal dish creation.
* Provide training, coaching and ongoing development for junior chefs and kitchen team members.
* Ensure Wilson Vale brand standards are consistently delivered while bringing creativity and flair to the food offer.
Schedule & Working Hours
* Permanent position, 40 hours per week, 5 days out of 7.
* 1 in 2 Saturdays or Sundays off during quieter periods.
* 1 in 3 Saturdays or Sundays off during busy periods.
* Overtime compensated with time in lieu.
* Two weeks annual leave over Christmas and New Year.
* One staff meal provided per shift.
* Full uniform supplied.
