Salesforce Release Manager Contract Opportunity
Location: Milton Keynes - 3 days per week onsite
Contract Length: 6 months initially

Are you an experienced Salesforce Release Manager with a background in highly regulated environments?
Join a major digital transformation programme at a leading financial institution, where youll take ownership of the Salesforce release lifecycle and ensure secure, efficient, and compliant deployments across the banks digital estate.
Key Responsibilities:
Release Governance & Planning
Manage the Salesforce release calendar across multiple business units.
Lead planning and readiness meetings for complete traceability and visibility of changes.
Work closely with Change Management to ensure all releases meet internal compliance standards.
Coordinate required resources to execute successful releases.
Deployment Execution
Drive end-to-end deployments across environments (SIT, UAT, Pre-Prod, Production).
Manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, Copado, or Gearset.
Lead sandbox refresh activities and ensure data masking complies with GDPR and internal policies.
Stakeholder Engagement
Act as the single point of contact for developers, testers, business leads, and platform owners.
Communicate release progress, risks, and outcomes to senior stakeholders and governance boards.
Risk & Quality Control
Ensure adherence to policies around change records, access control, rollback, and audit trails.
Support audit readiness by maintaining clear documentation on all releases.
Continuous Improvement
Promote DevOps and automation best practices throughout the Salesforce delivery lifecycle.
Identify and implement ways to optimise release processes and reduce manual effort.
Monitor release metrics and lead root cause analysis for recurring issues.
What Youll Bring:
Proven experience in Salesforce release management within banking or regulated sectors.
Strong knowledge of deployment tooling (e.g., metadata APIs, CI/CD, automation).
Solid grounding in Agile, DevOps, and ITIL frameworks.
Understanding of regulatory standards like GDPR and FCA compliance.
Confident in stakeholder engagement and navigating complex governance structures.
Preferred Certifications & Tools:
Salesforce Administrator or Platform App Builder Certification.
Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions, Copado, or Gearset.
Familiarity with Jira, ServiceNow, and Confluence.
ITIL Foundation or equivalent experience.
