#### Role**Who we are**Alzheimer Scotland is Scotland’s national dementia charity. Our aim is to make sure nobody faces dementia alone. Weprovide support and information to people with dementia, their carers and families, we campaign for the rightsof people with dementia and fund vital dementia research.**What you’ll do**You will play a key role in driving forward our Brain Health Scotland initiatives, supporting the development andgrowth of income-generating programmes that promote dementia prevention and brain health awareness. Thisincludes leading on business engagement and marketing activity for our Brain Healthy Workplace Programme and newBrain Health Learning Centre.Your role will include building business and marketing plans, preparing professional proposals and materials,responding to enquiries, and supporting the development of our new Brain Health Scotland website.This is a proactive and creative role, ideal for someone who enjoys bringing structure to new ideas, spottingopportunities for growth, and turning them into action. You’ll work collaboratively with colleagues acrossAlzheimer Scotland to help ensure our brain health work continues to grow in reach, sustainability, andimpact.**What you’ll have**You will be an organised and motivated individual with experience in business engagement, marketing, or businessdevelopment. You’ll be confident communicating with professional audiences, producing engaging proposals andmaterials, and managing multiple projects at once.Your approach will be proactive, professional, and solutions-focused, with the ability to build strong workingrelationships across teams and external partners. Working as part of the Registered andCommissioned Services/Community Connections team you will have responsibility for ensuring that services are ofthe highest quality and meet Alzheimer Scotland’s vision for unique therapeutic, highly person-centredsupport.You will work with the wider team and Day Services Manager to ensure safe practice and delivery of high-quality,person-centred, therapeutic Registered and Commissioned Services/Community Connections, ensuring practicecomplies with Alzheimer Scotland’s policies. You will contribute to evidencing, reviewing and continuallyimproving the quality of the services and will participate in internal audit and Care Inspectorateinspections.You may operate within a building-based Day Care or as part of a Community Connection team delivering CommunityGroups and Outreach services across an allocated area. At times, this will involve working without supervisionin the absence of the Day Services Manager.You will work with the wider team to evidence that services meet Alzheimer Scotland’s Quality Guarantees, Scotland’sHealth and Social Care standards and other quality frameworks including those of the Care Inspectorate whererelevant. This includes ensuring that the activities and support offered meet the identified personal outcomesof those attending the services.**What you’ll have**The successful candidate will have a good understanding and/or experience of working with or supporting people livingwith dementia and their families. This includes:* Supporting individuals to stay connected to their local communities, engage in their interests and hobbies, and access peer support.* Developing ideas and leading the way towards exciting and new activities to promote brain health.Our groups are community based, and the Community Activities Organiser is responsible for the planning and deliveryof all activities, ensuring reflective practice through our activity evaluations and feedback from the people wesupport.You will deliver a range of activities, including therapeutic activities and groups, both within the East AyrshireCommunity Hospital in Cumnock and across the rural communities in the area.**What you’ll have**Successful applicants will have a positive approach to dementia and brain health, with a passion to make adifference. You will have good communication and computer skills, a caring attitude and most of all enthusiasmfor the role.
