BAE Systems is looking for an On-Premises Platform Engineer to help design, build, and manage robust, scalable, and secure digital infrastructure that supports the future of our organisation. The Job Designing and implementing both physical and virtual network infrastructure Ensuring the performance, availability, and security of on-prem systems Supporting key technologies including Windows Server/Desktop, Red Hat Linux, Citrix VDI, Active Directory, VMware Collaborating with architects and security experts to deliver a modern, resilient platform Skills 3 years' experience in Platform Engineering or related IT roles Strong hands-on experience with: Windows & Red Hat Linux Server/Desktop VMware, Citrix VDI, Active Directory, Group Policy Scripting (PowerShell, Bash; Python or Perl a bonus) Solid understanding of infrastructure fundamentals – switching, routing, firewalls, VLANs/VNets A proactive, collaborative mindset and the ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated environment Familiarity with cyber security practices and Secure-by-Design principles Relevant certifications (e.g. CCNA, CCNP) or equivalent hands-on experience If you would like to be considered for this role please don't hesitate to click apply or call Levi Jackson on 0161 694 9192 for more information.
