We are seeking an experienced Industrial Pipe Welder specialising in carbon steel and stainless steel pipework for process, mechanical, and utility systems. The role involves fabricating, welding, installing, and maintaining high-integrity piping systems in industrial environments. A strong understanding of welding procedures and industrial safety standards is essential.
Skills & Qualifications
* Proven experience as an industrial pipe welder in sectors such as petrochemical, energy, utilities, or heavy engineering.
* Proficiency in TIG and MMA welding on carbon and stainless steel pipework.
* Ability to weld to coded standards (BS EN ISO 9606 or ASME IX preferred).
* Strong understanding of metallurgy, heat control, and weld preparation.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and isometrics.
* Knowledge of industrial safety standards, permit-to-work systems, and risk assessments.
* Experience with pipe fabrication, alignment, and fit-up.
* Relevant qualifications such as NVQ, City & Guilds etc
