Job description
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will lead a small finance team, be responsible for all areas of strategic and operational finance, and act as the first point of contact for company‑wide HR matters guided by our global practices.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure group reporting deadlines and budgeting requirements are met.
- Maintain compliance with statutory and tax regulations.
- Serve as the key point of contact to third‑party service suppliers.
- Provide company‑wide HR support.
- Lead projects, including ISO accreditation, ESG compliance, and corporate compliance initiatives.
- Work closely with the Management Accountant to deliver all monthly, quarterly and half‑yearly group reporting requirements.
- Draft month‑end management reports for the Managing Director.
- Prepare the budget and supporting schedules; present at the group budget meeting and ensure completion in SAP.
- Compile and input monthly sales forecasts and quarterly forecasting schedules in Tagetik.
- Review monthly corporation tax calculations and prepare six‑month‑ly deferred tax schedules in line with group requirements.
- Coordinate with auditors to complete year‑end reporting packs and disclosure schedules following IFRS standards.
- Prepare the tax pack for tax advisors and review/agree on tax computation and returns.
- Prepare reconciliation schedules between group and local statutory reporting and create statutory trial balances for auditors.
- Review and authorise quarterly VAT returns prepared by the Assistant Financial Controller.
Person specification
- ACCA/CIMA qualified with credible post‑qualification experience.
- Experience in a similar finance leadership role.
- Proficiency in SAP and financial reporting software (advantageous).
- Experience in ISO accreditation (advantageous).
- Strong communication skills, capable of engaging team members and colleagues across Europe.

- Excellent written and verbal communication; meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.

- Basic salary: £60,000 - £65,000 per annum.
- Annual bonus up to £3,000 based on company and personal KPIs.
