Overview
We’re looking for a Senior Regulatory Reporting Manager to join our Risk team at Tesco Bank, part of Barclays Bank UK Plc. Are you passionate about turning data into insight and insight into action? We need a dynamic leader to drive projects shaping impairment and capital management.
What You’ll Be Doing
1. Lead initiatives to ensure adequate impairment and capital levels, identify opportunities for optimisation, and support implementation of new models and policies.
2. Own production of short‑term forecasts and outlooks, measuring performance against actuals.
3. Use advanced analytics to uncover drivers of impairment and Risk‑Weighted Assets, providing actionable insights to senior stakeholders.
4. Lead forecasting and stress testing for internal and regulatory submissions for Tesco Bank and Barclays.
5. Oversee impairment adequacy for planning and stress testing, ensuring robust governance and compliance.
6. Drive strategic projects to optimise impairment and capital, identifying opportunities for efficiency and improvement.
7. Communicate insights to senior stakeholders, presenting analysis and facilitating decision‑making.
8. Translate high‑level requests into targeted analysis, adapting approaches based on data limitations and business context.
9. Support business development by summarising analytical findings to address key issues and inform strategic direction.
Your role has three core dimensions
* Work with complex risk data sources, developing expertise in risk measurement and portfolio analytics.
* Apply analytical skills to conduct investigations into portfolio performance and capital drivers.
* Present findings to senior stakeholders—technical and non‑technical—in a compelling and accessible way.
Required Qualifications
* A degree in an analytical/ business related discipline.
* Analytical skills: problem‑structuring, hypothesis testing via data analysis.
* Data management/analysis experience with SAS, SQL, Python, or similar.
* Project management skills to ensure delivery of multiple tasks, prioritising pragmatically.
Desirable (Preferred) Experience
* Knowledge of Credit risk management in retail lending.
* Knowledge of Capital regulatory standards (CRDIV).
* Knowledge of Impairment provisioning standards (IFRS9).
* Knowledge of forecasting, portfolio risk management, risk modelling techniques.
