Calling all Urgent Community Response Occupational Therapists
This is an exciting opportunity for a Occupational Therapist with strong clinical reasoning skills and who enjoys a fast‑paced environment.
Our integrated team provides urgent assessment and brief intervention to ensure a patient is safe in their own home.
The team consists of Occupational Therapists, Nurses, Social Workers, Pharmacists, Doctors, Physiotherapists, HCAs, and OTAs.
The post holder will join a team of Occupational Therapists to provide specialist functional assessments when a patient finds themselves unsafe at home due to medical or physical deterioration. Often the OT will need to provide adaptive equipment.

To be a competent and strong Occupational Therapist with an appetite to work in a fast‑paced environment, you will need strong clinical reasoning skills alongside effective communication to manage difficult situations.

Induction and Probation
New starters are welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks, which will include mandatory training, systems training, and equipment allocation. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to meet the executive team, senior managers, and attend drop‑in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing, and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
Probationary Period: This post will be subject to a probationary period.
Salary and Supplement
This post attracts a High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,714 and a maximum payment of £5,941 per annum, pro‑rata for part time).
Travel Requirements
Applicant must have a car and be willing to travel through three boroughs.
