We are a small team based in Ty Canna Services, Canton, Cardiff providing a high-quality community service to adults with mental health issues and enabling them to move through recovery. Referrals are received from Cardiff Community Mental Health Teams, and we work across the city. Following Initial Assessment, we can provide 1:1 Outreach support and / or the opportunity to undertake a range of activities in community settings.
About the job
We are looking to recruit a Mental Health Outreach Worker to join the team. The successful person will work with people to help them work towards their goals, hopes and aspirations and move through recovery. The ability to work in collaboration with other services is required as well as the ability to signpost to key agencies. The post requires people to be able to work on their own initiative and co-operatively with teams.
What We Are Looking For From You
We would like to hear from you if you are innovative, enthusiastic, and highly motivated with excellent communication and IT skills.
Experience of working in the field of mental health provision is essential.
The successful person will also be organised, creative and excited at the opportunity to help people realise their potential and move forward with their lives.
You need to be calm under pressure, resilient and have a good understanding of individual needs.
We need you to be flexible in both working hours and location and that include occasional weekends and evenings.
The ability to speak other languages, in particular Welsh, and Community Languages would be an advantage.

This post is part time and will work 30 hours per week.
