Reporting into the Project Director, you'll take responsibility for leading a significant National Highways major projects. This is a senior role with considerable senior stakeholder engagement., You will oversee the performance of project teams, external contractors, and consultants. You'll ensure strong governance, robust quality assurance, and full compliance with health and safety, technical, and specialist standards across both the supply chain and National Highways. Your leadership will be key to delivering agreed project outcomes while operating in line with all mandatory and delegated responsibilities.
This role can be based at any National Highways office location and will require regular travel and presence on site / in offices across the Midlands, East Midlands and Bedford.
1. Continuous improvement of health and safety performance and wellbeing within your team and the delivery of key performance indicators (as a minimum) for health and safety of the relevant programme or project
2. Development and maintenance of effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with programme objectives
3. Delivery of the programme in accordance with National Highways governance; ensure approvals are granted, value for money is deliver, and realisation of project benefits with the Project Sponsor
