Overview
We’re looking for a Recruitment Assistant to join our busy and developing Recruitment team. This is a great opportunity if you enjoy working with people, keeping things organized, and contributing to a Service that makes a real difference every day.
Salary: 37 Hours per week. This is a Maternity Cover contract. Service Headquarters, Huntingdon.
What You’ll Be Doing
As our Recruitment Assistant, you’ll provide effective administrative and coordination support, using your judgement to give clear and consistent guidance to hiring managers and candidates across all recruitment activity, covering both external and internal vacancies.
* Support recruitment processes from advert through to appointment for external roles and internal opportunities, including promotions, temporary roles and expressions of interest
* Coordinate interview and assessment activity, including scheduling, documentation and assessor support
* Act as a first point of contact for candidates, providing clear, timely and professional communication
* Support hiring managers by ensuring recruitment activity is well organised and progresses as planned
* Support onboarding of new starters, including coordinating and completing pre-employment checks and ensuring all requirements are in place before start dates
* Maintain accurate recruitment and pre-employment records, handling information confidentially and in line with policy
* Contribute to continuous improvement of recruitment and onboarding processes, systems and ways of working

Experience in recruitment, HR, onboarding or administrative roles is helpful but not essential. We’re more interested in how you work and your willingness to learn.
