What you will do:- Conduct assessments and initial appointments for children on the waiting list, ensuring each child receives timely care.- Manage equipment in educational settings to ensure the safe and risk-free use of prescribed postural seating, preventing any detrimental impact on postural development.- Utilise your paediatric experience with standardised assessments, specialist equipment setups, and conduct thorough reviews.- Work intimately within a multidisciplinary team to deliver integrated care and support for each child.- Provide expert advice for Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCP) and gain valuable experience within special schools.
Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:- A degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy.- Recent experience working as an Occupational Therapist in the UK.- Hands-on NHS experience, providing familiarity with its structure and demands.- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).- Your paediatric know-how will be essential for tackling the unique challenges in children's occupational therapy.
