Churches Together in Faringdon, in conjunction with Faringdon Town Council, requires a part time Foodbank Manager

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated, compassionate individual with a passion for social justice to make a real difference in our local community. Reporting to the Trustee Board, this role will be responsible for the overall management of the Faringdon Foodbank. Leading our volunteer team to provide emergency food to those in crisis, as well as managing the relationship with our food donors and partner organisations.
Hours: Part-time: 12 hours/week (job-share considered)
Salary: £14 per hour
Contract: Permanent

Responsibilities:
1. Managing Volunteers
1.1 Manage and recruit volunteers.
1.2 Induct new volunteers and train alongside experienced team members.
1.4 Interview prospective volunteers and complete appropriate paperwork
1.5 Create rota mid-month and manage any changes.
2. Managing building space
2.1 Manage the shared space in the town council building.
2.2 Liaise with town council teams for assistance with donations and managing space. 2.3 Maintain Health & Safety in the storeroom and any shared spaces.
3. Implement procedures and keep accurate records
3.1 Update list of referring organisations and keep them informed of changes
3.2 Manage and maintain records in line with GDPR regulations.
3.3 Draft and implement policies and procedures in consultation with the Faringdon Foodbank (FFB) Trustees
3.4 Data analysis of clients' statistics – frequency, recurring clients etc. 3.5 Attend volunteer/committee & Trustee meetings, as required
4. Managing stock and donations
4.1 Manage stock with team members
4.2 Supervise shopping ensuring budget is adhered to
4.3 Ensure donations are requested in line with needs via social media and other channels.
4.4 Liaise with Waitrose and other partners to obtain food donations.
4.5 Liaise with volunteers for collection of donations.
4.6 Manage 'thank you' letters or emails to donors for food stuffs or money.
4.7 Increase and manage donations of food and money.
5. Other Duties
5.1 Apply for appropriate grants, in conjunction with the Foodbank treasurer
5.2 Liaise with the FFB Trustees to ensure expectations are met.
5.3 Deal with any challenging issues/complaints.
5.4 To undertake such other duties as may be required from time to time
