Role Summary
The Battery Service Engineer will carry out service and repairs of battery equipment on customer sites, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety and Quality procedures, documenting all work, and maintaining van stock for daily maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities
* Repair, inspect, and quote customer battery equipment and associated accessories.
* Accurately complete job sheets, timesheets, purchase requisitions, and parts paperwork within required timescales.
* Take responsibility for all equipment and tooling (van, laptop, tablet, etc.) and ensure it is safe for the work undertaken.
* Work to strict planned schedules and deadlines.
* Diagnose faults to a component level.
Qualifications & Experience
* Knowledge of at least two of the following areas: mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, hydraulics, battery, charger & battery change systems.
* Willingness and ability to accept additional training to excel within Crown Lift Trucks Ltd.
* Must hold a full UK Driving Licence.
* Proficient fault‑finding and repair skills.
* Experience with Health & Safety requirements in a workshop environment.
* Strong organisational, multi‑tasking, and communication skills.

Working Hours
Monday to Friday – 08:00am to 16:30pm with a 30‑minute unpaid lunch break.
