First Military Recruitment is working in partnership with our reputable client who is seeking an Assistant Payroll Manager to join their team in Leatherhead.
Support and assist the Payroll Manager in delivering all payroll functions within my client’s day-to-day business and daily processing of operative timesheets.
My client is a property maintenance and installation organisation, with a mechanical arm specialising in the servicing, repair, and installation of gas central heating and hot water services to local authority and Housing Association landlords.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Assist with the daily timesheet processing, adjusting timesheets where required, and managing the recall process as directed by the Payroll Manager.
* Support with the implementation of Staffology Payroll Software.
* Support the Payroll Manager with the preparation of weekly and monthly payrolls.
* Process new starters, leavers, and all absence record forms as directed by the Payroll Manager.
* Respond to enquiries via the Payroll Inbox, the Payroll/Timesheet Helpline, and provide requested data from internal customers and external third parties.
* Manage pension administration for monthly and weekly payrolls.
* Provide timely and accurate weekly & monthly payroll production as required, especially in the absence of the Payroll Manager.
* Complete manual calculations of overtime and holiday pay.
* Process all confidential data and apply updates to the in-house payroll database.
* Check SSP, maternity, paternity, jury service payments on a weekly and monthly basis.
* Perform any other duties reasonably requested by the Payroll Manager.
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
* Previous experience in payroll processing.
* Strong data entry skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Stay updated with technical knowledge and apply new skills to your role.
* Experience using Staffology Payroll Software.
