Creative Graduates Wanted Teaching Assistant

Full‑Time September 2026 Start Upminster

Are you a performer, actor, musician, dancer, or creative graduate looking to use your skills in a rewarding full‑time role?

We are seeking enthusiastic, energetic, and adaptable individuals to join a welcoming primary school in Upminster as a Teaching Assistant from September 2026. This is a full‑time, long‑term opportunity ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to make a positive impact in education.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils across the primary age range, helping to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities may include:

Early Years (EYFS)

  • Supporting children through play‑based learning activities.
  • Assisting with phonics, early reading, writing, and number development.
  • Encouraging social, emotional, and communication skills.

Key Stage 1 & Key Stage 2

  • Supporting pupils in lessons across English, Maths, and the wider curriculum.
  • Working with small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
  • Helping pupils develop confidence, independence, and positive learning behaviours.

Special Educational Needs (SEN)

  • Providing 1:1 or small group support for pupils with additional needs.
  • Building positive relationships to support engagement and progress.
  • Working closely with teachers and SEN staff to implement learning strategies.
