Non-Executive Director (Digital & Technology) Futures Housing Group is a values-led housing association with a clear mission: to provide quality homes and services that create better futures. Recent refinancing has given us the platform to invest confidently in the future, enhancing our homes, services, systems and ways of working. We’re now seeking a new Non-Executive Director to join our Board with specific expertise in digital and technology. What we’re looking for While we welcome applications from individuals with a broad range of experience, we are particularly interested in those who can bring a strong understanding of digital transformation. Champion the use of digital technology and adoption of new ways of working, recognising value for money achieved through making organisations more effective and robust. Bring a strategic understanding of new technology, particularly AI, along with experience of digital technology roadmaps. Understand the need for single source of the truth, particularly in relation to both customer and property data. Prioritise the benefits that digital technology and innovation can bring to customers and staff. Understand the need for better system integration and simplification of systems Board responsibilities As a member of the Futures Board, you will: Help shape our strategy and ensure we have the resources in place to succeed. Offer independent insight and challenge to the Executive Team. Oversee risk, performance and compliance with a focus on strong governance. Support the development of a positive, inclusive organisational culture. Contribute to key decisions and act as an ambassador for Futures externally. Fulfil all statutory and regulatory duties of a board director. You don’t need to have worked in housing before, but you will share our sense of social purpose, our ambition to do more for our customers, and our belief that well governed organisations are best placed to make a lasting difference. Time commitment Approx. 15 days per year, including: Four scheduled Board meetings (in person at our offices near Castle Donnington) Around six Committee meetings (usually in person but some online) Two (in-person) Board away days Meetings typically take place during office hours at Futures House, or online. Remuneration: £9,161 per annum, reviewed annually. All reasonable expenses are reimbursed.
