About the Role In our Inverurie Day Centre, Support Workers help individuals with a wide range of needs to lead enriched and independent lives. This includes: Supporting with building new skills Providing personal care where required (full training provided) Supporting with integration into the local community Encouraging and enabling participation in social activities such as parties, bingo, and community events Promoting independence and helping individuals achieve their personal goals Who We Support The people we support in Inverurie have varied support needs, including: Learning disabilities Autism (including Fragile-X) Epilepsy Down Syndrome Cerebral Palsy Mental health conditions Some individuals may display challenging behaviour, including verbal or physical incidents and self-injurious behaviour. Experience in this area, particularly with de-escalation techniques and Positive Behaviour Support Plans, is highly desirable. Full training is provided. Shifts and Flexibility The Day Centre operates Monday through Friday, between 8.00 am and 4.00 pm, with plans to extend opening hours to weekends. Relief cover may be required on short notice, so we are looking for individuals who are flexible with working hours. Why Join Us?
