Delivery Manager – Contract - Challenger Bank - Digital Transformation
An experienced Delivery Manager is required by a UK Mid-Sized bank to work within their existing Change & Transformation team to optimize delivery of a concurrent and inter-dependant portfolio of projects. Working across multiple workstreams, you will ensure alignment with broader strategic goals, product roadmaps, and business outcomes, resolving impediments and dependencies across multiple projects or business units.
The expectation is that the role can be performed on a hybrid basis so you must be able to attend one of the business’s offices twice weekly. Offices are predominantly in the North West, South West, North East and London.

You will be responsible for orchestrating the successful delivery of key strategic initiatives, ensuring they align with the ambitious mission and objectives. What You'll Do:
As a Delivery Manager, you will be accountable for the end-to-end success of your assigned initiatives, including:
Strategic Planning & Oversight:
* Craft and manage the overall delivery plan for your initiatives.
* Ensure alignment of initiatives with our overarching Mission and Bank objectives, in collaboration with the Head of Delivery.
* Manage initiative scope and resources effectively to support successful delivery and the Early Life Support period.
Execution & Issue Resolution:
* Proactively identify, manage, and resolve cross-functional issues, internal and external blockers, or impediments at the initiative level.
* Manage and report on internal and external dependencies and assumptions.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management:
* Work collaboratively with the wider organisation to secure necessary sign-offs and ensure seamless handover to Operations.
* Manage operational relationships with suppliers as required.
Reporting & Financial Management:
* Accurately estimate, manage, and report on initiative finances, ensuring adherence to the agreed budget.
* Monitor and report on initiative progress and performance, providing timely status reports to the Head of Delivery, Initiative Sponsor, and other key stakeholders.
* Ensure all necessary information is available for cross-programme status evaluation.
Accountability:
* Ultimately accountable for the success of your initiatives and meeting all agreed budgetary and delivery targets.
What We're Looking For:
* Proven experience as a Delivery Manager within the financial services sector, ideally at a mid-sized UK bank.
* Demonstrable experience managing complex initiatives from planning through to operational handover.
* Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
* Exceptional stakeholder management and communication abilities, capable of engaging at all levels.
* A proactive problem-solver with a keen eye for identifying and mitigating risks and issues.
* Experience working in environments with significant internal and external dependencies.
* Familiarity with various project methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
* A track record of driving initiatives to successful completion within agreed scope and budget.
