The post holder will be required to participate in a 1:4 oncall rota.
Jersey operates on a different system for remuneration of on-call whereby sessions are allocated in lieu of on-call. A 1:4 on-call attracts 2 programmed activities. In the eventuality of any Private practice, Jersey also functions differently, as there is only one hospital on the Island, and consultants are encouraged to operate on their private patients in hospital on their timetabled operating lists. Therefore, there are 10 programmed activities in the job plan, and therefore only 10 programmed activities are paid.
